Simple, optimized all-tube signal path design ensures proper interfacing with your guitar and effects and that the integrity of your guitar's signal will be maintained. Separate tone stacks make dialing in great clean and overdrive tones a snap, while independant clean and overdrive master volume controls allow you to easily set your clean and lead levels. Clean and overdrive channels are footswitchable.
The series overdrive channel is relay-switched completely out of the signal path when not in use. This results in a straightforward clean signal path as well as lower noise in the clean channel. An oversized "choke" power supply provides plenty of reliable, clean voltage and current. The standard Translucid design utilizes diode rectification; tube rectification and "sag" control are available as options.
Mechanical and electrical design, grounding, and circuit layout have all been optimized for low hum and noise. Translucid amplifiers are quiet.
